There are several one time only first time installation set up steps to get BPS Pro completely set up.  These set up steps are displayed to you with a description of what needs to be set up and all displayed set up steps contain a click here link.  Actual one time / first time installation set up time takes 5-15 minutes.  All future upgrades of BPS Pro do not require any additional set up and take 1-3 minutes (download the zip upgrade file and use the BPS Pro built-in Upload Zip installer to install the upgrade).  BPS Pro 5.1.6 will have direct upgrade installation capability within the WP Dashboard making upgrades take somewhere around 5-10 seconds.

BPS Pro 5.1.5  - First Time Installations of BPS Pro

Explains installing the bulletproof-security.zip file using the WP Upload zip installer, the set up steps for BulletProof Security Pro First Time Installations and the messages that you will see displayed to you when you are installing BPS Pro for the first time.  These are one time set up messages that you will never see again once BPS Pro is set up. 

Note:  For first time installations of BPS Pro you can use the WordPress Upload Zip installation method to install BPS Pro.  Before you install BPS Pro deactivate and delete the BPS free version if you have it installed.  Your website will still be protected when you delete the free BPS version.  Deleting BPS free or BPS Pro ONLY removes the BPS plugin files and does NOT remove the .htaccess files or php.ini files that protect your website.   BPS Pro has a built-in Upload Zip Installer.  After performing a first time installation using the WordPress Zip Installer then all future Incremental and Full upgrade installations of BPS Pro should be done with the built-in BPS Pro Upload Zip Installer.
